Here is what Breyer Had to say about this boy...
Singletree (mold #5754) has been inspired by Honky Tonk, that year’s Early Bird raffle prize model, who was done as a beautiful bay pinto on the Nokota mold. This pint-sized Singletree has been done on the handsome mini Fireheart mold in the same pattern. A singletree is a part of a carriage harness that helps to reduce friction and balances the animals doing the pulling.
Liverpool (mold #5738) has been inspired by Music Row, the 2013 Open Model Horse Show Overall Reserve prize model, a stunning Arabian shaded in a dapple rose grey. This mini version has been done on Kathleen Moody’s Magnolia mold. A Liverpool is a type of bit used for driving horses.
Whippletree (mold #5756) has been inspired by Opry, the model awarded to our amazing BreyerFest volunteers in 2013. This handsome glossy palomino has been miniaturized on the Stablemates scale Georg. A whippletree is similar to a Singletree, in that it balances a driving team and helps to distribute weight evenly.
Landau (mold #5716) has been inspired by Minnie Pearl, the 2013 Open Model Horse Show Overall Grand Prize model and has been done in a lovely bay extended blanket appaloosa on Jane Lunger’s pocket-sized Trotting Warmblood. A Landau is a luxury four-wheeled carriage that dates from the 18th century and has a convertible top.
Hames (mold #5752) has been inspired by Walk of Fame, the prize awarded to the winners of that year’s Music City Mashup Diorama contest. This striking model was originally done as a shaded red dun pinto on the Traditional Missouri Fox Trotter and has been scaled down in miniature on Kathleen Moody’s Stablemates scale MFT. Hames are two curved pieces of iron or wood that attach to the collar of draft horses.
Thank you and we look forward to serving you!
